UNDERWATER INSPECTIONS - METHODS AND SOLUTIONS
UXO Marine provides subsea inspections in the offshore industry on commission, based on the experience of its team of geophysicists and divers, using specialist software (such as Oasis Montaje, Magpick or Sensys) and top quality sounding equipment and telecontrol solutions – both inspections of the seabed and inspections of underwater technical infrastructure, such as installations, platforms and pipelines, whose location on the seabed often changes naturally and which are constantly exposed to external factors.
SEABED EXPLORATION AND THREATS TO AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT
UXO Marine specializes in research and inspection work. Their implementation involves the use of various solutions to support, and even – often replacing the work of a team of specialists in dangerous and risky situations:
magnetometer probe systems towed by research vessels
remotely operated unmanned underwater vehicles ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) - submerged, staying and moving under water, used to a large extent for research purposes due to the possibility of equipping them with a light source, magnetometers, sonars or video signal recorders
autonomous unmanned underwater vehicles (AUV), scanning the seabed based on pre-programmed instructions to a given depth below the bottom and identifying objects as dangerous
The use of underwater robots significantly improves safety standards of underwater works. Their use is particularly important in dangerous, harmful, inaccessible or difficult-to-reach areas. Remotely Operated Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (ROV), equipped with additional measurement accessories, such as a multibeam probe, magnetometer, enable:
performing a very detailed inspection of the seabed
locating dumped objects, including dangerous ferromagnetic objects such as unexploded ordnance, dumped chemical or conventional weapons
determining the location of hazards to measuring equipment
mapping of the bottom profile with elements of underwater installations
monitoring the movement of underwater objects
