MAGNETOMETERS FOR FERROMAGNETIC TESTING
Ferromagnetic testing is usually performed using passive methods. Measuring devices, i.e. magnetometers do not emit a signal but only collect data from disturbances in the magnetic field of the earth and on this basis “build” a list of points and places, indicating where there are ferromagnetic objects. Some of them are explosive and dangerous objects, due to the fact that on a large territory of Poland there were war actions.
The proper performance of research requires the use of the highest quality, modern, specialized research equipment, specially adapted survey vessels and the involvement of an experienced team of professionals – surveyors, geophysicists, divers and sappers, with appropriate authorizations.
CLEARING THE AREA AND BOTTOM FROM FERROMAGNETIC MATERIALS
Searching for ferromagnetic materials, which show their own spontaneous magnetization, often explosive and dangerous to humans and the environment, requires thorough preparation and specialized training. UXO MARINE deals with research and detection of ferromagnets located at various depths – using the research equipment, it determines not only their parameters, but also the type and number of objects located in a specific area. It investigates, uncovers, inspects, excavates and disposes of elements, in particular hazardous materials of military origin (UXO).

MAGNETIC ANOMALY MEASUREMENT
The study of changes in the Earth’s magnetic field, and actually the determination of areas of magnetic anomalies, i.e. places where the direction of the magnetic field differs significantly from the average recorded for a given latitude, is carried out using a magnetometer. The use of a measuring device registering changes in the magnetic field makes it possible to indicate potential locations of underwater objects which exhibit ferromagnetic properties.
UXO MARINE uses the magnetometer data to create maps showing the recorded variations of the magnetic field in the surveyed area and pinpoints the exact locations of sunken wrecks and metal objects.
